Hafjell Olympic Slopes
Olympic slopes offering skiing experience both for
skilled, not so skilled and the beginner, awaits you in the compact and
comprehensive ski region of Lillehammer. Hafjell Alpine Centre is located
only 15 km north of downtown Lillehammer, and even if the Olympic
Winter games 1994 are history, the fun of skiing and the Olympic
spirit lives on. The Alpine Centre offers kilometres of slopes for you
to explore.The alpine slopes starts at 1.030 metres and descend down to
140 metres. The shortest way down is 3,5 km long, but with 29 km to
choose from, you can definitely make your descent longer- if you
prefer. As security of low snowfall and
in order to jump-start the season, 18 km of slopes are covered by
artificial snow. In Hafjell there is forest trial and a special area
for snowboard
with half-pipe and Big Jump. For the youngsters there is a separate
childrens
playground with activities and competitions.
In Hafjell there is a day care facility, two restaurants, after ski, ATM, ski school, ski rentals and many winter fun-activities. Please click here for more information about Hafjell Alpine center.
