When visiting the Olympic Region of Lillehammer you will understand why Lillehammer hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Lillehammer is a beautifull and picturesque little town climbing on the hill up from the lake Mjosa.  Small and old wooden buildings and the towns "artery", the pedestrian street is the signature of a real Norwegian winter village with big city ammenities.

Miles and miles of cross country tracks, Olympic standard downhill slopes both for skilled skiers and for those not so skilled.

Winter starts allready in mid November and lasts until mid April. Snow in Norway is never a matter of when -but how much. Lillehammer has excellent skiing conditions for both cross-country and alpine 5 months per year.
